A platform for long-term commercial & industrial solar in India.

Arclight Renewables develops, owns and operates contracted solar assets for institutional and corporate offtakers. We build portfolios designed to be held, financed and operated over the full life of the contracts.

The platform

We originate, construct, own and operate.

Arclight Renewables is an India-focused renewable energy platform established to develop, own and operate commercial and industrial solar assets under long-term contracts — 80.3 MWp across 12 sites, held through three wholly-owned special purpose vehicles.

Unlike pure developers who originate and sell projects, or pure operators who manage assets they do not own, Arclight sits in the middle of the value chain. The platform combines disciplined origination, controlled construction, ring-fenced project ownership and in-house operational capability under a single institutional structure.

Headquartered in Hyderabad, operating across multiple states.

About the platform

How the platform is built

Four connected principles.

01

Long-term contracted assets

Every project is developed against a long-term power purchase agreement or finance-lease structure with a defined offtaker. No merchant exposure in the core portfolio — the objective is predictable, multi-year cash flow rather than short-term development profit.

02

Ring-fenced project ownership

Assets are held in dedicated special purpose vehicles under the platform holding company. Lenders to one SPV have recourse only to that SPV's assets and cash flows; equity investors gain exposure to the full portfolio. Intentionally simple and bankable.

03

Integrated development and operations

Origination, technical design, construction management and long-term operations are handled within the group. This reduces interface risk, improves cost and quality control, and keeps construction margin and lifecycle capability inside the platform.

04

Capital structure discipline

Projects are structured from the outset for senior debt at the SPV level alongside equity at the platform level — transparent sources and uses, clear security packages, and coverage metrics institutional lenders recognise.

Platform activities

The full value chain, under one structure.

Originate → structure → build → own → operate. Disciplined selection rather than maximum volume.

Development & structuring

We screen C&I solar opportunities across multiple states — technical feasibility, offtaker credit, site rights, grid connectivity — and structure them as long-term contracted assets under PPAs or finance leases.

Construction & delivery

Construction is managed through controlled processes with defined accountability for timeline, cost and technical performance. Delivery risk is actively supervised, not fully delegated.

Ownership & asset management

Once commissioned, assets are owned and operated for the long term — performance monitoring, offtaker relationships, maintenance and compliance, over the full contract period.

Sustainability

Clean generation with clear impact.

Arclight's projects deliver new renewable generation onto a grid that remains heavily dependent on thermal power. Each megawatt-hour produced displaces higher-emission electricity and provides offtakers with long-term, contracted renewable supply.

Assets are new-build, not acquisitions. Generation is metered and attributable. Offtakers receive both a commercial tariff benefit and documented renewable supply that supports their own sustainability reporting — and because the platform is built for long-term ownership, the environmental benefit persists over the full contract life.
